The need to knows of EV Hire with Europcar

Europcar aren’t just providing cars – we’re your trusted companion on the road to sustainable, hassle-free travel. As you embark on your electric adventure, we’re here to hold your hand every step of the way. And that includes our favourable rental terms when hiring an electric vehicle. Charge policy on pick up

The charge level of electric vehicles is recorded both at pick-up and return. We endeavour  to supply all of our EVs with 80% charge where possible, guaranteeing a minimum of 50% charge at pick up.

Charge policy on drop off

Europcar understands the importance of convenience and flexibility, especially if trying out an EV for the first time. As it’s not quite as simple as a 5 minute pit stop at a petrol station to restore a fairly drained battery,we’ve put some favourable terms in for you at drop off. So whilst it’s good practice to return your rental with a reasonable charge, we only require a minimum charge of 20%.

Electric vehicle breakdown

If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of your electric vehicle breaking down or running out of charge, fear not – Europcar has your back with our reliable breakdown assistance service provided by the AA. Our dedicated breakdown assistance hotline (0371 384 5924) is on hand 24/7, where our trained professionals will spring into action to provide prompt assistance.
