Renting Ev How It Works

CHOOSING THE RIGHT RENTAL EV

So you’ve decided to join the electric revolution. The question is, which EV is the right one to hire? While range, model and size all play a part in the decision-making process, it really comes down to one question… what will you mainly be using the vehicle for? Short business trips? Quality family time? Sheer driving pleasure? Once you know the answer, it’s really just a case of finding the best EV for the job. And don’t worry, we’ve got all bases covered in our EV Showroom. Here’s a quick look at the main things to consider when choosing your EV.

What’s the occasion?

If zipping between business meetings is on the cards, you’ll want an EV that’s stylish, comfortable and makes a powerful first impression. For family road trips, you’ll want to think about how many bums on seats you have and pick something a little more spacious to keep backseat squabbling to a minimum. If storage is a key driving factor, an electric SUV, or van may be the smart call to make. Whatever the occasion, we can help you make the right call, get in touch with our team.

How far will you be driving?

Did you know most EVs now have a range of between 150-300 miles? So unless you’ve got a seriously hefty daily commute, you’re unlikely to find yourself needing to charge multiple times on a journey. It’s important to remember though that plug-in hybrids have a much shorter battery range of 20-40 miles compared to fully battery powered EVs.

Do you want to go fully electric?

Hiring an EV is a brilliant way to dip your toe into the future, but going all-in can be a little daunting at first. If you want the safety blanket of a back-up petrol/diesel engine, then a plug-in hybrid may be the way to go. However, with a little knowledge and our handy charging tips we’re confident we’ll make your journey to going fully electric completely faff-free.
