Locking / Unlocking
To lock and unlock the Jeep Avenger, you can use the key fob, the central locking button inside the vehicle, or the hands-free system. The key fob allows you to lock or unlock the car remotely. The hands-free system allows you to unlock the doors simply by approaching the car with the key fob in your pocket, and it will lock automatically when you walk away.
Starting The Avenger
To start the Jeep Avenger, ensure the PRND lever is in position “P”. Press the START/STOP ENGINE button located on the left side of the steering wheel, and you’ll hear an acoustic signal. Once the “READY” message appears on the instrument panel, the electric traction system has activated, and the vehicle is ready for driving.
Driving The Avenger
The Jeep Avenger features regenerative braking (B mode), which automatically slows the vehicle when you lift your foot off the accelerator. During this process, the motor recovers energy, converting it into electricity that recharges the high-voltage battery. It’s particularly useful when driving down steep hills, through challenging conditions like snow or mud, or in stop-and-go traffic, allowing for smoother control and improved energy efficiency.
Turning The Vehicle Off
To turn off the Jeep Avenger, ensure the vehicle is in Park (P). Then, press the START/STOP button located near the steering wheel. Once pressed, the electric motor will shut down, and you will see a confirmation message on the digital. Make sure the ignition is fully off before exiting the vehicle. For additional safety, always double-check that the parking brake is engaged before leaving the vehicle.
Connecting Your Phone
To connect your phone to the Jeep Avenger, first ensure Bluetooth is activated on your device and the vehicle is parked. On the Uconnect screen, tap the Phone button, then select “Add Device.” Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings; the Jeep will appear as a discoverable device, displaying a unique PIN for pairing. Confirm the pairing on both the phone and the Uconnect screen to complete the connection.
Charging Your Phone
To charge your phone in the Jeep Avenger, utilize the 15-watt, 3-amp wireless charging pad equipped with Qi technology. Simply place your phone on the pad with the screen facing up; the anti-slip mat will keep it secure. Please ensure the engine is running and all vehicle doors are closed for the charging pad to function properly.
Accessing Storage
To access the boot of the Jeep Avenger, you can press the release button on the key fob or the button on the dashboard. You can also lift the boot manually from the handle above the license plate. If equipped with the hands-free liftgate feature, simply wave your foot under the rear bumper sensor while the vehicle is in park to open the boot hands-free.
Using The Sat Nav
The Jeep Avenger features TomTom’s full-stack navigation system for easy route planning and navigation. To enter a destination, press the nav button followed by the search button. Input the house number, street name, and city or point of interest to find your desired location. Once you’ve selected an address or point of interest, simply press start to begin navigation.

To adjust the climate controls in the Jeep Avenger, you can utilise either the automatic climate control system or make manual adjustments as needed. The automatic climate control system is designed to optimise comfort while saving on energy consumption. In extreme temperatures, you can quickly cool or defrost the interior by activating the Max A/C or Max Defrost features.
For those who prefer more direct control, you can also manually adjust the climate settings to suit your preferences. This flexibility ensures a comfortable ride in any weather condition.
Adjusting The Side-View Mirrors
The exterior rearview mirror glass adjustment switch is located on the instrument panel on the driver’s door. Use the switch button to select left ( L ) or right ( R ) mirror. Then move the arrows above the switch in the desired direction to adjust the angle of the exterior mirror glass.
Adjusting The Seats
The front seats of the Jeep Avenger can be easily adjusted using the handles on the side. Pull the lever up to adjust the seat height—lifting it raises the seat, while pushing it down lowers it. To change the backrest angle, simply turn the handwheel. For longitudinal adjustments, pull the handle located at the bottom of the seat, slide it to your desired position, and release the handle to lock it securely in place.
Adjusting The Steering Wheel
The steering wheel can be adjusted by releasing the locking lever found to the left, under side of the steering wheel. Once released, hold the steering wheel with both hands and tilt it up or down into the most comfortable driving position. You can also push or pull the steering wheel towards or away from the body. Once a comfortable driving position has been selected, pull the locking lever fully to lock the steering wheel into its new position.
Adjusting The Rear-View Mirror
Adjust the body of the interior rearview mirror to achieve the best possible view. The anti-glare function of the interior rearview mirror helps reduce glare from the headlamps of following vehicles at night.
Adjusting The Child Lock
The rear doors have child locks fitted in order to prevent children from accidentally opening the doors. Using the key use the lever inside the door closure in the direction shown by the arrow turns the child lock on. Pushing it in the opposite direction turns the child lock off.
Adjusting The Vehicle Lights
When the vehicle is powered on, the AUTO lighting system is turned on by default, which will automatically switch the side lamps/switch illumination on and off according to the intensity of current ambient light. You can also adjust the lighting using the master light switch, found to the rear left-hand side of the steering wheel.
